Impact and Sustainability

Pink Jinn is a purpose-driven business. For us, growing and scaling our business goes hand-in-hand with growing and scaling the impact we are seeking to create in the communities where we work – including our own community of stakeholders, customers and partners. Our approach to impact and sustainability revolves around the principles outlined below. We’re not always going to get everything right, but we are lucky to be surrounded by the most incredible community who we learn from every single day and who help us stay on the right path.

  • Ethical supply chains: We source our products and services ethically, doing all we can do ensure that the people involved in making our products and services receive a fair wage for their work.

  • Impact sourcing: At Pink Jinn, we believe that economic empowerment through employment and entrepreneurship is key to community development – particularly in communities that have suffered the effects of conflict. We have built partnerships with social enterprises across the Middle East and North Africa working to up-skill and employ vulnerable communities.
  • Caring for the environment: We are conscious of our carbon footprint and the effects of our activities on the environment, and we partner with companies and individuals who share that consciousness. Wherever, possible, we use reusable and recyclable packaging, avoiding single-use plastics.

  • Values-driven culture: At Pink Jinn, our company culture is built around three core values – courage, empathy and learning. These values shape the way we engage as a team, both with each other and with our community and partners.
  • Collaboration over competition: We believe in using our platform to support and empower other businesses and entrepreneurs from across the region, particularly small, women-owned and purpose-driven businesses. Taking this approach has shown us time and again that when one of us wins, we all win.

  • Giving back: We regularly donate to and partner with charities and causes close to our hearts – particularly those working with conflict-affected communities across the Middle East and North Africa.
